Description: This high-elevation stream in Allegheny National Forest flows in a shallow valley shared with State Route 948 and several villages that minimize the wilderness experience. [Reported 1999]

Difficulties: Many trees above State Route 948. Generally open below State Route 948.

Shuttle: State Route 948. Put in at Fork Run Road bridge (Brookston) and take out at State Route 666 Bridge near Barnes. This trip can be extended to Lynch on the main branch; see the write-up for Sheffield to Lynch.

Gauges: Lynch. This gauge further downstream on the main stem will probably read above 3.0 feet. At State Route 948 Bridge, 10 blocks showing without cap on downstream left is adequate.

Normal Wet Period: No available statistics on seasons. Since this section is small, it should normally be runnable approximately January through April.
