Description: The stream starts in a wooded setting but has transformed to a canyon by the end. There are lots of hemlocks. It begins with gentle rapids and riffles. After State Route 861, it tilts downhill with long complex rapids, consisting of numerous good boulder and sloping ledge rapids.  [Reported 1994]

Difficulties: There is one big (5 foot) drop not far below the State Route 861 Bridge.

Shuttle: To reach the put-in, head north from St Charles on State Route 854. Follow State Route 854 for about 3.8 miles to Township Road T472. Turn right/east on Township Road T472 and go about 0.3 miles to the bridge over the creek. To reach the take‑out, return to St Charles and head south on State Route 1005 for 0.1 miles and the bridge over Redbank Creek.
