Description: A mix of woods and farms at the start, then a mile of housing through Union City. Farmland returns to the mouth. [Reported 1999]

Difficulties: Downstream of Bridge Street in Union City is a Class II section, which begins with a 2-foot ledge, runnable on the right. The four miles prior to this are mild and the steeper section comes up suddenly.

Shuttle: To get to the put‑in, head east on US Route 6 from Union City. At about 1.4 miles turn right/southeast on Mitchell Road. Go another 1.5 miles and turn right/south on O'Neil Road. Go 0.6 miles to the put‑in bridge. To reach the take‑out, return to Union City and go west on State Route 2008 (West High Street). After about 2.0 miles, turn left/south at the “T” onto Union-LeBoeuf Road. Go 0.3 miles and turn right/west onto Stone Quarry Road. Go 1.6 miles and turn right/north onto Dewey Road (unlabeled) road. Go 0.2 miles to the take‑out bridge. This take‑out includes about 1.3 miles of French Creek below Union City Dam.
