Topographic Maps: Lynch

County Maps: Forest

Description: This is a pretty run with hemlock surroundings, in spite of the highway and cabins. There were many strainers, but only four carries. The creek is pretty tiny above the West Fork confluence. The stream has a good ledge and boulder drop at the last bridge, with almost continuous Class II whitewater elsewhere. [Reported 1993]

Difficulties: Occasional strainers.

Shuttle: To get to the put-in, turn east on State Route 1003 from State Route 666 at Lynch. Follow State Route 1003 for 2.7 miles to the bridge where Rock Spring Run joins the creek. The take‑out is in Lynch.

Gauge: Streamside. Level 2.6 on staff gauge, left downstream abutment, 1st bridge.

Normal Wet Period: No available statistics on seasons. Since this section is tiny, it should normally be runnable only after a heavy rain or during spring snowmelt.
